Re: Rear clam for sale

Certainly Jack The genuine W11 chassis and nosecone I bought from eBay last year was initially offered as a bundle along with a '15' front and rear clam set. I couldn’t be bothered to buy the lot (couldn’t have picked them up with the family car either) and sell on the 15 bits so just bought the pro...

Re: Rear clam for sale

Hi Morris / everybody
That's definitely a 15 clam! I would not be surprised if it is the set that was offered with my chassis a few months back - it certainly looks very similar. It’s probably one of the old GTS Tuning '15 alike' jobs....

Re: New doors

Re the racer, surprisingly it doesn't look that much different to a standard road going one, other than a rather huge and unsightly full width roll over hoop (it's a flat back, rather than Le Mans hump. The rack has been repositioned, it has full rose joint suspension and a narrowed English axle (st...

Re: New doors

No, you've got it right, they are not supposed to have compound curves. My poor use of commas! That makes them easy enough to make for an ali basher of my skill level. And Ali doors look more original anyway. I've got some on my full race (still unrestored) W11 to copy to help me along.
Cheers Tim

Re: Someone building a W11 just north of Berkhamsted?

Had a reply to my email, and we can expect a new member in due course, once signed up by our mods. Morris - I'm not a million miles from you and come down the A41 to get to work every so often. I can only claim disorganisation and young kids as mitigations as to why I haven't popped round yet to say...

Someone building a W11 just north of Berkhamsted?

Was having a gander at flea bay for bits, and someone is advertising a W11 chassis stand, stating that they are nearing completion of their W11. Location is a little village just north of Berkhamsted. Someone on here, or does anyone know this builder? Just down the road from me.... thought I would p...

Re: W11 chassis no 3

It means...'we are asking ten grand more than every other W11 that has sold recently so we are coming up with some flannel to sucker you into thinking you are getting something extra/different!' IMHO of course :D :D :D
