I saw someone had booked a ferry for a cheap price with DFDS, but will need to dig out the details.

Any thoughts???

Ferry to Calais is still cheap, but Dover isn't really going to work for me. Pompey to Le Havre Cean or Cherbourg looks good and avoids Rouen, but around £240 return. An overnighter with cabin could work. The x-country route could be quite nice!

Weds eve sail (2300) thurs early arrival and drive down to pitch, Mon eve (1800) sail to arrive 2300ish and last blast home.

All this is hypothetical and based on:

a. Managment Approval
b. Leave being granted
c. Funds actually in place rather than allocated my noggin!

ACO Ticket prices in Euros for comparison with Club offerings etc:

General Entry - Fri to Sun 53.00

Paddock Pass - 35.00

Grandstand 16, 19, 20, 21 - 30.00



Camping - 35 sq M pitch one vehicle, any number of occupants

Beausejour - no electric - 70.00

Bleu Nord - 90.00

No price for Maison Blanche


Track Laps (Sat AM) - 175.00 (150.00 for Club laps).

That's around £560 including ferry - could knock off around £100 to go via Calais, but would need to include extra fuel and tolls etc.


I have the TSSC entry form and can email it on to any interested parties.

Pricewise, the TSSC are £292 for entry, paddock, grandstand and camping at Tertre Rouge, plus £158 for circuit laps. That's only an extra £20 per night for decent facilities!! Plus track laps are only around 9% over privateering cost. Not bad for having all that organisation done for you!!

A total of £690 including ferry from Pompey (but not fuel, food or beer) payable up front.


Other organisers seem to require only a deposit and payment for grandstand tickets, with the balance to come later. A similar package to the TSSC one is around £660 (Track Destinations - two people in a car on the crossing) - I don't know how their facilities compare with the TSSC enclosure. Might give them a call to confirm this and singleton ferry price, too.

Bottom line is that it'll be around a grand for the outing whichever way you choose.
