LOTUS The Creative Edge

Post by bobwhittaker »

Perhaps of interest is the above book in the Haynes Classic Make Series by Russell Hayes ISBN 978 1 84425 249 7

It starts with the Austin Seven Special of 1948 and works it's way upto about 2004, being mainly about cars that
were suited to both road and track. There is an excellent section on the Eleven with the Westfield Eleven getting
a photograph and a write up. The Sevens both, Lotus and Caterham, get good cover as well. Many of the projects
that Lotus were involved in also get write ups such as, Delorean - Lotus Omega / Carlton - Vauxhall VX 220 - Lotus
Cortina - Talbot Sunbeam Lotus Etc. Etc. Not a " Definitive " source but it is easy informative reading with
excellent illustations and photographs ( Plenty of both.) and it is beautifuly presented.

I bought it directly from the author Russell Hayes from a Small stand at the NEC Classic Car Show on 13th November
all for the princely sum of £5.00 ( Cover price £19.99 ) including his signature below his printed name on the face
page. Well pleasedwith the book and I do like a bargain ! !
