Having got my new rear dampers and springs I was mindful that I'm going to have to set up the ride height and corner weights again. Whilst getting my lunch in the local Sainsburys I noticed (as you do) 150kg mechanical bathroom scales at a mere £12 each. A quick look on the web back home confirmed that this looked pretty good for 150kg scales, so I now have a set of 4. Well able to cope with 500kg of Eleven. Not high tech, not precision but my kind of cost / performance compromise! An increasingly obese society is not all bad then!
Still need to cut the larger hole in the tray to clear the axle casing at full droop before fitting them and the re-bushed links. The Pro-Comp dampers look very nice. Valved as they do for their LoCost racers and with 120 lb springs.
Nearly finished the new exhaust manifold. Similar to Jan's modded Maniflow on the US forum. Just need to add the last 90 degree 2" bend from the collector. Garage too cold though....whimper.

Good work, make sure you stand on all of them to see if they all read the same!!
We use a hand one http://www.paceproducts.co.uk/public_ht ... s&parent=2
i did try using bathroom scales when i had my Vee, i went too cheap though and they all read different figures each time you stood on them

I'll calibrate them using say a slightly overweight middle aged man that I happen to have handy! Should get me close enough. Within 5 kg will be a good start. And Matt, that was why I was pleased to find the 150kg items!
