Post by Pluscat »

Found a nice thick alloy radiator on Ebay........

Quite nice price (these can be much more costly) but is it any good?

It's probably much more efficient than the copper/brass, and lighter. It should fit in the same place that the original fit, though you may have to make a new lower mount so that the radiator can be laid back, fan on the back side, exiting out the bottom of the chassis. For the price, it may be a great bargain, especially if it is mounted and ducted properly.

I have used a Rover Metro radiator. If you search Ebay UK for Rover Metro Radiator then you should get some hits. The best bit is they are as cheap as chips and don't take much modification to fit, although the hose outlets are different. Oh and I fitted a smaller fan. The shipping to the States may be a problem though!

Not had any running temp issues since, even with a little track time thrown in.
