My WW hubs are a bit rough, but you're more than welcome to them. Splines look OK and knock-off theads are good. You will need a spacer for at least one, though.
Can send pics at the end of the week. Tied up till then.

Re: Front wheel bearings
I may yet be interested. Waiting for new ones on back order, but I'm told that the producer is hopelessly unreliable. Should have been due in June, may be ready by the end of August. How rough is rough? As long as they're true and the bearing faces are unworn, Smoothrite does the rest.
Do you need steel wheel hubs?

Re: Front wheel bearings
Well, they seem true and not too worn. One bearing set is gorn. I'll send over some pics when I'm able.
Hopefully got the solution from Malc, but would be interested in keeping a spare steel wheel hub just in case I rag the other one to death as well.
Could swing past and trade on my way South, perhaps.

Re: Front wheel bearings
Sadly, it'll be a while after that. Probably into next month.
I'll ping an email in a few days to start working out the plan. In fact, I can feel a road trip coming on.
Does your 4x4 have room for two bearings and an oil seal?

That's about all the room that it has! I had to visit the Samsonite outlet at Bicester in order to find a new wheelie that fits..........

Splat, come on now, you are a BA captain, surely your man can send your luggage ahead in one of the estate shooting brakes?

Re: Front wheel bearings
As you're aware, I came over from bmi on the first transition course. Three skippers and three co-pilots. We had a half day induction on the morning of day one, which included a minibus trip to uniform stores to collect the large box of kit that we'd each been measured for in the previous week. We each pulled a ticket and waited our turn. When six boxes were stacked on the floor, Louise - our "mother" for the morning - declared that we were done. Five boxes were picked up and carried outside. Louise looked at me; "Well?" "I'm a BA Captain, now.", I replied. "I'm waiting for my porter!"

Re: Front wheel bearings
Here's an update:
I motored down to see Malc on Friday as he very kindly found me a good hub and offered to install the bearings for me. In short an excellent day - I learned a lot and logged a ride in another 11. For those who don't know, anything North of 100 bhp in these cars makes for, er, spritely performance.
One point we found was that the centre spacer sizing is critical. Once that is sorted, the SKF bearings are solid and spot on. So, I'm now back on the road and looking forward turning more unleaded into fun - perhaps a final track day at Keevil? Any takers?
A big thanks to Malc for all his help> I now consider myself cleared solo on bearings!
