Westfield-Chesil and the XI refresh

Post by Morris »

Hi Chaps,

The management at Westfield-Chesil is very keen to iron out all the bad points (poor manufacturing tolerancing etc.) and incorporate desirable upgrades/ future proofing into the XI design.

I've drawn up a spreadsheet covering all areas that I (and others in the WSCC) can think of, and I'd like to have your input also.

Unfortunately I don't appear to be able to upload an excel spreadsheet to this forum. If you'd like to see a copy and comment, please pm me your email address and I'll forward you a copy tout suite.

Many thanks.

Cheers.

Morris.

Well done! It seems the suggestions offered will be incorporated into the 2024 kits.

I can’t help but feel that at £24,000 for a basic kit, before donor, upgrades, etc. the five kits that remain of this year’s allocation will be the same five kits that will also still be available this time NEXT year……..

I think you’re probably right. But I wouldn’t have thought there was that much profit in those kits for them, as I suspect the majority of work is outsourced.
