The other Westfield Eleven

Post by bobwhittaker »

Does anyone remember Westfield producing a variant on the Eleven , in very limited numbers (6 or 8 in total ) , which was more roadster biased .
It was slightly bigger and had a " fuller figure " than the original and was intended to use a turboed cvh similar to the XR3I Turbo . I have memory
of seeing one on the Westfield stand at Stoneleigh a good number of years ago.
I attended a cars and coffee meet in my Eleven yesterday , 18.07.24 , when a chap came to talk and show meet photographs of the car he had
owned . He was surprised when I recognised the car and was able to talk about it .
If anyone is interested the location and timing of the gathering is the 3rd Thursday in the month upto september at The Bridge Cafe in the village
of Wray near to Carnforth in Lancashire ( Bikes on the 1st Thusday ). It from 14.30 onwards , well organised , an excellent varied turnout ,come
and go as you please and it is free , one drawback is 75% of the parking is on grass .

hello Bob,

Good to see you take the XI out occassionally.

I do remember the Eleven variant called the Westfield Sports. A friend of mine used to race one of these. I'll see if I can dig out a few photos.

Attached is the Westfield sales brochure.

Hi there Jack , that is the car I remember , definitely " A fuller figure " than the usual Eleven . On another topic ,
have you done the " UK Tour " on your Honda " Step Through " yet ? If not don't forget to come and view the
delights of The Ribble Valley and the rest of Rural Lancashire and The Yorkshire Dales ( Our equivalent of " The Canyons ". )
Cheers BOB
