I can understand that with worn thrust washers and lots of play that the nut could be "hammered" off. You've convinced me to replace my Nyloc's with fresh ones!

Steering all sorted after a very short time with some grease & king pin shims. Plus some new Nylocks nuts!

Congratulations! Am I alone in finding the correct shimming of the kingpins an oddly satisfying operation? :geek:

Fixing a problem and doing it right is always a good feeling!
BTW I have bought a yellow paint pen to mark my critical fasteners with - including those kingpin nuts!
