Nice car but I’m not sure I would pay 180k for something that doesn’t have a cast iron identity and provenance?

Well, no chassis number, and what is a "solid DeDion rear axle"?
There is a solid rear axle, or a DeDion rear suspension, meaning a chassis mounted differential, half shafts and a DeDion tube connecting the left and right uprights, with trailing arms locating the DeDion tube.
