Here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WESTFIELD-LOTUS-X ... 500wt_1156

Claims its a Westfield, but has some noticeable differences, plus an explanation of why it is a westy even though it doesn't look like it.

Is it another Westfield supersport version, as discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=81 ?

Xflow powered as well I notice.

Edited to say, Re-reading AlanFIAT's post on the subject and the more I look at it and the youtube video, the more I'm convinced its a supersport. I wonder if its the one AlanFIAT actually saw at the hillclimb in 2002?

Looks nice, but so different from an eleven. Almost more like a Trojero Jag than an Eleven from some angles.....

Hello - "re odd Westy" - yes its definately a supersport, but I dont think its the one I saw at Barbon. I seem to remember the one I saw had Ford escort turbo oval grilles set into bonnet.

Yes, front and side view are very nice, but the front they designed in the dark.
A little Jag. C, AH 3000 and a pinch of MG A

Funny looking instrument panel, funny body molds, strange looking rear chassis, non Westfield front suspension, and screwed up proportions.

No picture of the rear suspension.

Supersport? Well, I would love to see a picture of one, including chassis details. My early W11 and new W11 have similarities to each other, and other Westfields. This car doesn't seem to have anything in common with other Westfields at all. If nothing else, Westfield did carry certain components and designs throughout the product line.

The picture on the MWS site shows something that looks like a Talbot Lago. Interesting, but without seeing the chassis, it would be impossible to say what it was.

Here in the US, any Lotus 11 copy is usually called a "Westfield", even if it is a RevPro, or some home built.

Front chassis looks Eleven (or regular Westfield for that matter). Front suspension is regular (non Eleven) Westfield I think. Body moulds are all subtly different. I do like the use of the independent rear, but the carrier needs bracing better to the rear bulkhead..
Looks like a hybrid between and Eleven and the SEi.
Better looking than an SEi at least. To me they could have done worse than to follow it up...

The front suspension is not 11. Real Lotus 11s had swing axles on the early cars, or a single upper link, with the anti sway bar completing the upper arm location. The front end used a Standard Triumph upright, with a ball joint. This was a popular upright to use for small volume producers of kit cars back then.

Westfield 11 use an upper/lower A arm, with king pins. The car pictured uses curved upper A arms (not a familiar Westfield design), and a ball joint, so the front uprights are not Spridget. Also, the location of the damper in the lower arm is also not Westfield design.

Not sure if it sold from the June pistonheads advert and is for sale again, or more likely the owner is still trying to sell it (most likely as the blurb and photos look very familiar). Eitherway it has just been advertised here in the last couple of weeks: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C247737 .
