That should work. Good thin that you remembered a hole at the bottom of the baffle so that the oil can drain off and not go out the pipe.
I would add another hole or two to the bottom of that baffle... Just from my own experience.

I make the mistakes so you won't have to!
The baffle needs to be side not end sited. This is due to the clearance from the rocker shaft end and the cover.
Simply project a line up from the centre of the inlet pipe on the manifold, and that will put you between the rocker pedestals.
A very patient Gary is going to sort this out for me. There is no rush, however, as I am out of time before my house sale completes, and entrenched in this course, and, worryingly, my breather and oil filler cap are like Chuffing Billy with oil vapour. I need to do a compression test to see what's what. Maybe a valve isn't closing fully. I hope so, because another rebuild is not what I need at the moment! That'll be in September after the dust has settles and the car is on her holidays in my mate's garage...
Shame... I wanted to take her to Goodwood next month!

A very nice finish!
In other news, I am the proud father of a daughter off to UCL to do her science degree, and the owner of a wreck to do up!
Yay!

Thanks all! She's got her mothers brains!
Matty, hopefully catch you around the bazaars! I passed my cse today, so will be back in the air early next month!
Daggers, nice job! Have you trial fitted the engine?
